New Life in Jesus Christ
In this modern world we live in, is it really necessary for a man or woman to need a savior.I believe the answer would be yes! Because it is impossible for man to make it on his own,Oh yes we may do ok for awhile and be successful in this life and become so involve in our own lives that we think we are getting by with out any help from God. Eventually we will have to face the crossroads in our life and when we get there and we all will sometime in our life,We will have to choose to follow Christ or reject Him
In Christ or out of Christ,it will be diffcult if not next to impossible to be on both sides of the fence. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world,yet forfeit his soul? ( Mark 8:36 ) Going backward is rejecting Jesus Christ love for you and His purpose for your life.Jesus said,no servant can serve two masters.Either he will hate the one and love the other,or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.You cannot serve both God and money. ( Luke 16:13 )
But remember this when we come to the crossroads in our lives it our choice.The avenue are clearly mark. So if you and I are to follow Jesus. This is what the Lord says: Stand at the crossroads and look;ask for the ancient paths,ask where the good way is,and walk in it,and you will find rest for your souls.But you said,We will not walk in it ( Jeremiah 6:16 ) The crossroads has four avenues, Forward,right,left,and backward.Going forward is making the choice to follow Jesus Christ.Enter through the narrow gate.For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leadsto destruction,and many enter through it.But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life,and only a few find it ( Matthew 7:13-14).
Going left leads to the world and everything it has to offer.Do not love the world or anything in the world.If anyone loves the world,the love of the father is not in him ( 1 John 2:15 ) Going right is like,Today I will follow Christ and tomorrow I'm not sure about following Christ. It also remind me of a fence,The fence has a dual purpose,It purpose is to keep something in or out.So also with us what side of the fence do we want to be on, in Christ, it must be His way and His way leads to everlasting life ( Jesus answered,I am the way and the truth and the life.No one comes to the Father execept through me.( John 14:6 ) I give them eternal life,and they shall never perish;no one can snatch them out of my hand ( John 10:28 ) There is no better place for us but in the hands of Jesus Christ.It is His promise to us.
Christianity is not just a religion,It is a relationship with the living God through His Son Jesus. All other religions of the world are trying to reach God by there own efforts. Jesus was crucified,died on the cross and rose on the third day.( read the account in Matthew chapter 26-28 ) This is the love of God for all of us.For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but had eternal life ( John 3:16 ) We can not earn our way into heaven,we can not do enough deeds to get into heaven,and we can not live our lives anyway we want and hope at the end of our life God will receive us into His kingdom,We must accept His way and that means we have to live this life for Christ and walk in obedience to His word.Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.( Luke 11:28 )
Remember this ,that Jesus Christ is a God of Love,a love that is beyond understanding and without limit, even though you may think His love cannot touch you. Maybe someone told you God cannot love you or maybe you have been thinking He's to busy for me. Maybe you are thinking or have been told that God cannot forgive you of your sins. So if you have never been a child of the living God or maybe you were a child of God and drifted away from Him,whatever the circumstance that lead you away. Remember this, He loves and is waiting for you.
NOTHING,can and I repeat,NOTHING
can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ execept, our sins and our will to live this life our way.The bible says Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword (Romans 8:35 ) For I am convinced that neither death nor life,neither angels nor demons ,neither the present nor the future,nor any powers,neither height nor depth,nor anything else in all creation,will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 )
So the question you might be asking what must I do to be saved.The bible says ,that if you confess with your mouth," Jesus is Lord " and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,you will be saved. ( Romans 10:9 ) It is by God grace,His grace is a free gift,a gift we do not deserve and we can not work or earn this grace.We receive the gift of salvation by faith in the Son of God.For it is by grace you have been saved,through faith-and this not from yourselves,it is the gift of God-not by works,so that no one can boast. ( Ephesians 2:8-9 )
So if it is your desire,that God will forgive you of your sins,and it is your desire to follow Jesus Christ.Make this your prayer, Lord Jesus I ask you to forgive me of my sins.Lord Jesus I do not understanding everything about your salvation ,but I know that I need you.I cannot live this life without you anymore and I want to experience this great love, you have for me.Lord Jesus I ask that you take me as I am,also I ask that you would begin a good work in me.Changing me into the person you want me to be.So right now I give all my hopes, dreams, and my life into your hands.I submit to your authority over me in Jesus name.....Amen!
