Mt.Zion Ministries began as calling from the Lord Jesus. In 1994 I became born again Christian and soon after that, with in weeks I was given the vision of the property where the church would be built ( see the picture on this page ) Having no idea that there would even be a church there, as of matter of fact I never even been in the Philippines.Even though my wife is a filipino and I might add a good wife, which I met in the U.S.A. I have no desire to go to the Philippines, until I became a born again Christian, and He fill me with His Love and when Jesus comes into your life, your desire soon become His desire.
So I was describing the vision of the property to my wife and she said that is the area where she grew up. But I was little afraid or maybe careful or mixture of both.But it took about six years before I made my first visit to the philippines and what a trip it was.When I first got to manila I could not stop weeping, our taxi driver drove past the garbage dump that you could see and smell from the main road and you could see the pepole eating and living in this garbage dump. I would have to say it sent shock waves all through my body, I would put sun glasses on, so that no one would see me weeping.
But contiuning our travel to Candijay,Bohol after several hours of traveling,we arrive at our final destination in the village where my wife grew up, and when the van driver drop us in this remote area it became very over whelming to see the condition the people live in. So the Lord Jesus fill me with His love for the filipino people and everything that happen for that day forward was a miracle, from the purchase of the property to it's present state of running from eighty five to one hundred people on sunday morning in only a few years.
